Ever since I was a kid, I loved video games. It only got better for the actor in me when video games started having actual voices. You could hear and be moved by the game's story through voice over. My biggest inspiration was PlayStation's "Metal Gear: Solid". A story-based RPG with compelling cut scenes and memorable characters that had you more excited about watching the story than actually playing the game.

The voice of the main character, Solid Snake voiced by legendary David Hayter, made me want to be a character in a video game.

Video games get a bad rep. Some....rightfully so. However, when done well they can evoke emotion and make a lasting impact on the player much like a good film. Take the recent television sensation "The Last of Us" as a prime example. The game was done so beautifully that the adaption to screen naturally touched audiences that were not gamers and allowed them to be enchanted by the story and characters. It has a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. (That's a good thing!)
